On Saturday, June 19, at 5:30 PM, the Gipsy Fashion Wear shop will host "Tomo Tomo" for the third event of the Gipsy Live series.
The group was formed in 2018 through the collaboration of Morena Chiara and Antonio Aniciello: a guitar and vocal duo that traces the history of classic Brazilian artists, evolving into experimentation and blending Carioca sounds with Neapolitan popular culture.
Reggae, jazz, and funky influences are added and mixed with dissonant flavors, without relinquishing control of the quintessential Carioca genre, Bossa Nova.
The project's name is a playful reference to the ancient Neapolitan saying "Tomo Tomo, cacchio cacchio" and is also a clever anagram of the two members, "Momo" and "Toto."
The Italo-Brazilian musical group will perform at Gipsy Fashion Wear in a show of interplay between melody and harmony, mixing sounds, sensations, and emotions, in a journey that goes from "saudade" directly to "felicidade."
On Saturday, Via San Sebastiano, the historic street of musicians, will be filled with elegant bossa nova and the energy of funk!
