Paisley , also known as buteh or buta, has very ancient origins, which according to historians date back to the era of the great Mesopotamian civilizations. The first real evidence of its diffusion comes from Persia , where its traditional teardrop silhouette appears as a wall decoration of monuments and houses. Thanks to the discovery of numerous archaeological finds, it is possible to observe, not without a hint of amazement, that the design appears totally unchanged:its shape resembles that of a stylized leaf , an ornament of naturalistic inspiration that represents an imaginative plant tangle, in which you can find the same precision and minuteness of detail that characterizes the paisley of today.
